Robert B asked: I have a Sony MZ-R700 which I want to use the same as my old Sony M-627V Microcassette-Corder. I can set this old one to voice operated mode so it starts when a sound reaches a certain volume level. I want to do the same with the MD recorder.

I know that this model R700 is not designed for voice-operated recording, but I was hoping I could hack it or add something that would allow me to do this. (I would prefer not to spend a lot of money on a similar product.)
One more question: The information on this model says it can connect to the internet via Windows 98, 2000, and ME. But I have Windows XP Home. Can I use this model with XP? Do I need a different driver and if so how to get it?
